About Grips
The style of grips Sea-Doo used in the 90s were called “mushroom” style and were renowned for their vibrant colours. However, over time, Sea-Doo OEM grips became notorious for degrading. So, 25 years later, if you love OEM and want a close replacement, it’s hard to find grips that match both the style and colours.
I have spent literally three years buying over 40 different brands of mushroom grips, all in the quest to find close colour matches. It’s one thing to find a mushroom grip, but it’s another to find colours that truly match the 90s models.
I specifically tracked these yellow grips down for my 1990 Sea-Doo SP, as Sea-Doo offered a yellow grip upgrade back in the day, and I spent hours trying to find a close yellow match—these are damn close. These yellow grips will also work for the late 90s GS/GSI, which came with yellow grips, and will fit any model, as the diameter fits Sea-Doo bars.

- Seadoo SP first gen: Seadoo offered an SPI kit for the 1st gen Seadoo SP, which featured either blue or yellow upgrade grips.
- Seadoo GSI, GS 1997/98
- Can also be used on any model from the 90s/early 2000s.
Key details:
- Mushroom style grips the same style as Seadoo used in the 90s
- 22.5 diameter grip that fits OEM handle bar grips, tight fit but fits.
- These grips can either be left with the mushroom end flange or modified with the flange cut off.
