How to remove mould & water stains

Cleaning mouldy OEM original Seadoo XP 1991 Nylon foot mats and removing water stains. The foot mats are original and I wanted to save them as they have Seadoo embossed in the padding itself...A lot of owners from this time period (90’s), stripped the OEM mats and replaced with aftermarket options, so it’s super rare now in 2025 to find an original example with the OEM foot mats still present. In this episode I tackle cleaning the foot mats, removing the mould and bringing these OEM foot mats back to their formal glory. Plus I get to work on removing the stubborn water stains from water being left in the footwells.

How to save OEM jetski footmats

In this episode I’m tackling sticking down the bumpy foot matting. This is a common issue on the old 2 stroke Seadoos, where the rubber foot mat material ends up deforming from standing water sat in the foot wells. After removing all of the mould in the last episode 5, my attention turned to using grab adhesive to hold down the foot mats...however it was rather tricky to get them to stay stuck down.... 6 attempts later and I did it...if you want to save OEM foot mats, this really is the video for you.

first gen xp

The 1991 XP was the first ever year we saw the XP, it marks the start of the XP model arc! I wanted the first ever XP 1991 and the final 4th Gen XPDI 2003.

neon green

Just look at it! The neon green and purple, its pure 90s for me, it symbolises everything aesthetically, that I love about that retro era.
